STRONG HAND OF TRAINER

Indecision And Lusty Lad In First Leg

C. S. Donald’s representatives, Indecision and Lusty Lad, appear to dominate the Randolph Handicap, the first leg of the T.A.B. double at Addington Raceway tomorrow.

Both horses have won over two miles —the distance of tomorrow’s race —at their most recent starts, Indecision winning on February 12 and Lusty Lad a week later.

Both Lusty Lad and Indecision have compiled sound records over all distances this season.

They will meet sterner opposition than in any of their other races, but that should not stop both of them taking a prominent part in the finish. Both horses require one win to be eligible to be entered for the rich Easter Cup at Addington Raceway next month.

Bob Again could be the hardest for the bracket to beat. He won impressively in his two starts at the Dunedin Festival Cup meeting and finished a good sixth over two miles at Addington Raceway on February 12. He has had a minor setback in the meantime, but he might not have missed much work. Bob Again has improved considerably in recent months and he looks capable of further wins.’

Buchanan has not raced since he failed at Hutt Park on January 18. His form has been useful throughout the season and another bold showing should be within his capabilities. Bruce, Ferndale Prince and Vanity Show appeal most of the others on the limit. Southern Song and Town Martial are two consistent pacers engaged on 24 yards. If the pace is slack early

both could take part in the finish. Asia Minor, a most unlucky runner at his last two starts, should just about make amends in the Bealey Handicap, the second leg of this double. He will not be set

an easy task from 24 yards, but one of his peak efforts would be good enough to give him a win. Harbour Light and Acquit might offer most opposition to Asia Minor but the chances of Ali Bej\ Ardleigh, Doctor Kyle, Snow Globe and Free Globe cannot be overlooked. An on-course double will be run on the Cressy Stakes and the Fitzgerald Stakes. Fair weather is forecast and the track should be in good order.
