RICHMOND GUILD
The sum of £lO has been donated by the Richmond Townswomen’s Guild to the Milk Powder Fund of India. The money was sent through the Dominion headquarters. Officers elected at the recent annual meeting were:— President, Mrs A. Roberts; vice-president, Mrs 0. C. Gawler; secretary, Mrs N. King; treasurer, Mrs M. Crutch; committee, Mesdames V. Taylor, N. Mincher, O. Gawler, C. Gillespie, D. Thackwell, G. Bristowe and G. Bugg.
Arabic Lessons.— Foreign diplomats in Cairo can now learn Arabic at a special institute. Dr. Soliman Huzayen, the Minister of Culture, will shortly inaugurate classes for teaching the Arabic language. Other foreigners can also attend the classes.
