BONER BEEF PRICES
Big Rise This
Year There has been a further rise in the schedule for boner type cattle. Rates for these cattle have been climbing steadily since the beginning of the year and a freezing industry representative confirmed that the strengthening of the market could be attributed to the continuing American demand for this class of beef. Since the beginning of the year the price to farmers for f.a.q. cow, boner cow and boner ox and heifer has increased by 30s per 1001 b and for boner bull by 32s 6d per 1001 b. From today all these classes of cattle will rise in price by 5s per 1001 b to 142 s 6d in the case of f.a.q. cow, boner cow and boner ox and heifer and to 147 s 6d per 100 lb in the case of boner bull. Boner bull is now worth more than any other type of beef.
