TV Tests
Sir, —Varian J. Wilson, who has set himself up as an authority on everything, virtually called the district manager of the N.Z.B.C. a liar, when told that the CHTV-3 pattern generator is not faulty. As for his idea of shutting the station down just to show what one particular fault looks like, this must be one of the most ridiculous suggestions yet received by the N.Z.B.C. Surely the main essential of programme presentation is a smooth flow of features. A little learning, Mr Wilson, is a dangerous thing.—Yours, etc., G. B. WOOD. March 4, 1966.
