Qantas To Fly To Mexico City

WELLINGTON, March 4.

QANTAS will begin a weekly service from Auckland to Mexico City on March 28.

A Boeing 707 will leave Auckland International Airport at 4.15 p.m. every Monday to fly direct to Tahiti, where it will arrive at 11.10 p.m. local time and leave at 12.15 a.m. the next day. The flight will arrive at Acapulco at 12.20 p.m. and leave at 1.20 p.m. for Mexico City, where it is scheduled to arrive at 2.10 p.m. The actual flight time from Auckland to Mexico City will be 16 hours.

The service will be in addition to the established weekly

Sydney-London service by way of Nandi, Tahiti, Apapulco, Mexica City, Nassau and Bermuda. It will not have traffic rights to and from Tahiti.

The return flight of the new service will leave Mexico City every Tuesday at 9.45 p.m. and arrive at Auckland at 8.35 a.m. on Thursday.
