King Kong Likely In Second Leg Tonight

The attempt of the much-im-proved Pukekohe four-year-old King Kong to win Ms fourth race tn succession will be a feature of the Waikato meeting at Claudeiands tonight. King Kong is engaged in the Farewell Handicap, the second leg of the T.A.B. double. As he has drawn No. 2 at the barrier he should be a strong favourite. The Farewell Handicap is one of stix races which will be started with the mobile barrier. Henwood’s Pride and Scottish Eden may provide King Kong strongest opposition. Amend and Tobias look certain to dilspute favouritism in the first leg, the Claudelands Raceway Stakes. The forecast is favourable and the track will be fast.
