A.L.P. PARTY POLICY

Conference To Be Held (N.Z. Frets Assn.—Copyright) CANBERRA March 3. A special Federal conference of the Australian Labour Party will be held later this month to consider aspects of the dispute between the Deputy-Federal Leader. Mr E. G. Whitlam, and the party’s Federal executive, on interpretations of party policy. The conference will be held on March 25, providing the necessary arrangements can be made. The announcement of the calling of the conference came tonight at the end of two days’ discussions involving Mr Whitlam’s criticism of decisions of the Federal executive last month. Yesterday the executive called on Mr Whitlam to answer charges of disloyalty to the party based on those criticisms.
