Building In February
Christchurch City Council issued permits for 315 new buildings to a total value of £722,609 last month, compared with 311 buildings valued at £411,269 in February last year. In the central city area permits were issued for 28 buildings to a total value of £290,340.
The February permits brought the number issued since March 31 last year to 3560. The value of the buildings authorised in that period is £6,490,222. In the same period last year, 3700 permits iwere issued for buildings (valued at £8,944,440.
