“Turtle Times” Costs 1d
(N.Z.P.A -Reuter —Copyright) ADEN. Royal Air Force personnel serving on the lonely desert island of Masirah, off the coast of Muscat and Oman, have launched their own newspaper, the "Turtle Times.” Started by an aircraftman from East Lothian, Scotland, the newspaper is published at midnight each Saturday. It contains monitored world news and football results, local features and a course in Arabic.
It costs only Id, but makes a monthly profit of 30s which is given to a station welfare fund.
