Procuring A Miscarriage
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Feb. 8. Two men appeared in the Auckland Magistrate’s Court yesterday an three joint charges—two of unlawfully using an instrument to procure a miscarriage, and one of attempting to unlawfully use an instrument After the hearing of depositions, Malcolm Johnston, aged 69, a retired clerk, pleaded guilty and was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence. Tai Edward Yates, aged 48, a taxi proprietor, pleaded not guilty to the charges and was committed to the Supreme Court for trial. £
