Communist Resigns
(N.Z. Preet Association) WELLINGTON, Feb. 7. He endorsed the document issued by members of the Communist Party who resigned from the party in Auckland last week, said Mr K. G. Douglas today, confirming a report that he had resigned from the Wellington branch of the party. Mr Douglas, who is secretary of the Wellington Drivers’ Union and an executive member of the Wellington Trades Council, has been a member of the Communist Party for the last six years and was a member of the Wellington district committee. His resignation was made by letter on Friday.
