TAURANGA WRITER

Book Selected By N.Y. Club (N.Z. Press Association) TAURANGA, Feb. 7. The Tauranga writer, Sylvia Ashton Warner, has received news from the United States that her latest book, “Greenstone,” has been selected as one of the books of the month by the Book of the Month Club of New York. Miss Ashton Warner said that “Greenstone,” only recently published in the United States, was a sequel to “Greenstone One,” which appeared in serial form in the “New Zealand Monthly Review.” The story is set on the Wanganui river, which Miss Ashton Warner describes as one of the finest beauty spots in the world.

“Engineers are now preparing to dam the river—in which case all will be lost,” she said.
