Boy’s Body Found
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Feb. 7. An hour’s search by police and residents of Lower Hutt late today led to the recovery of the body of an 18 months’ old boy from the Waiwhetu stream He was Stephen Edgard Roy Graham, of Riverside drive, Waiwhetu.
Stephen wandered off while playing in the backyard of his home opposite the stream. Six policemen, a police dog and a skin-diver searched nearby houses and the river for the boy. Neighbours a.'so assisted.
The body was found in two feet of murky water. Mouth-to-mouth resuscitation was attempted but was unsuccessful.
