Epidemic Sweeps U.K.

(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) LONDON, Feb. 7. A total of 251 Britons died in the first four weeks of this year from the virus B influenza epidemic sweeping the country, says the Ministry of Health.

Deaths in the week ending January 29 totalled 111, compared with 58 in the same week last year. It was still too early to say if the epidemic had reached its peak, the Ministry said.
