The British Government yesterday announced plans to force public companies to reveal any financial help they give to British political parties. The move is seen as chiefly aimed at Mr Edward Heath’s Conservative Opposition Party, which draws most of its financial support from industry and commerce. Conservatives set a record for intensive political advertising by spending nearly £1,000,000 in the 17 months before the October, 1964, General Election. The Labour Party—which gets financial backing from trade unions—spent £300,000
