Machine Built For Moore
One of the world's most celebrated speedway riders, Ronnie Moore, of Christchurch, may make a return to racing at the Templeton Speedway next season.
The handicapper at Templeton (Mr G. Burt) said on Saturday that his son, Selwyn, was at present building up a J.A.P. speedway motor-cycle for Moore to ride in New Zealand He could give no indication when the machine would be ready.
A former multiple New Zea land champion and three times winner of the coveted world speedway crown. Moore retired from racing more than two years ago after a particularly bad accident while competing in England. Since then he has been living in Christchurch, his birthplace, and has occasionally competed with success in saloon car races throughout the country.
