NEW BRIDGE OPENED

Named After Nehru (N.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyright), NEW DELHI, Feb. 6. India’s Prime Minister, Mrs Indira Gandhi, has opened the longest bridge in Asia—the 10,044 ft bridge at Dehri, in Bihar State. It carries the name of Mrs Gandhi’s father, the late Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. The bridge lies on the proposed Asia highway network, which will span Asia in two major routes —from Turkey to Vietnam and from Persia to Indonesia.
