Forecast: Canterbury, Marlborough, Nelson.—Winds becoming moderate and variable; cloudy and cooler, with scattered outbreaks of rain, but tending to clear in Canterbury. Buller and Westland.—Moderate variable winds: cloudy and mild, with occasional rain.
