Linwood Retains Lead In Table Tennis

Linwood retained its lead in the senior table tennis competition when it defeated Selwyn II without losing a match at the resumption of the inter-club competition. Selwyn I showed greater allround strength to defeat Wallabies. 7-5, in the closest match of the evening, while a depleted Celtic upset a similarly depleted University, 5-0. Avonslde I had a comfortable win at the exnense of Avonside 11.

Competition points are: Linwood 18. Avonside 1 16. Selwyn I 14, University and Celtic 10, Wallabies 8, Avonside II and Selwyn II 2.
