Newdick’s Seventh
“The Press" Special Service AUCKLAND. For the seventh year in succession the Auckland professional golfer, R. R. Newdlck, is making an overseas tour.
Newdick, who has travelled abroad every year since 1959 as an amateur or professional, will leave for eight months on February 21 to play the South-east Asia, United Kingdom and European circuits. Accompanied by his wife, he will play in the Singapore, Malayan, Thailand and Hong Kong Opens and will also take part in tournaments in Formosa and Japan. In England he will be playing in about 15 tournaments several of which he has been invited to after his success recently in the N.Z.P.GA. tournament.
In September he will spend three weeks on the Continent playing in the French, German and Swiss Opens before returning home in early October.
