SURF BOARD RETURNED

One of the leading con tenders for the Canterbury senior paddleboard title this season, P. Stevens (Waimairi), has recovered the £4B surf board stolen off the roof of his car while it was parked in Kaikoura. A local fishing trawler found the board floating in the sea 17 miles north of Kaikoura a few days ago and it has since been returned to Stevens. He plans to use the 9ft 6in fibre glass board in both the Canterbury and New Zealand championships this season.
