‘FANCIFUL '
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, February 3. The Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) today called “rather fanciful” a prospect that New Zealand might have no choice but to become part of the United States. Last night the leader of the Australian Labour Party (Mr Calwell) said there was a growing realisation that New Zealand could not stand alone forever, and that he believed it could not stand alone much longer than the next two decades.
