AUCKLAND, Feb. 3.
A Mangere shopkeeper, Mr D. Tobeck, sold the winning ticket in the lottery drawn today to “Top Hat Syndicate” and bought the next ticket himself. “Out of 15 books of tickets that I sold, I had to miss out by one,” he said. “We still don’t know who ‘Top Hat Syndicate’ is but they have bought a ticket in the next lottery No. 10,” he said.
Mr Tobeck as the agent who sold the winning ticket, will get about £lOO.
