Strong Has Back Injury

The future of the Wellington and 1965 New Zealand Rugby League centre. R. M. Strong, is in doubt because of the severe back injury that he suffered in France. Strong’s back has been encased in plaster since his injury in November and an Xray' later this month will determine his immediate football future. Strong has been unable to work since his return and he is not certain when he will return to work. If the X-ray is favourable he will be put in a brace: otherwise he will have to go back into plaster. The injury was suffered during a training run.
