WORLD FOOD PROGRAMME
'I N.Z. To Give £272,000 (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Jan. 18. ' New Zealand will contribute £272,000 to the world food programme for the 1966- [ 68 period. [ The Prime Minister (Mr [ Holyoake) said today that ' half the contribution would [ be in commodities —canned meat, cheese and butter and . milk powder—and the remain- [ der would be paid in conver- ; tible currency in equal annual instalments. J The programme has just completed its first three-year experimental period, during jwhich New Zealand contributled £174,000. ' The new programme has a [ target of £95,700,000 in com[modities, services and cash — more than double the target !for the 1963-65 period.
