Licences There were 51,988 licenced television sets in the North and Mid-Canterbury areas at ’ the end of November, 1965. Of these 47,254 were domestic licences and 4734 were hired sets. j The number of domestic ( sets increased by 13.383 on! the figure for the end of; November. 1964. and the num-; ber of hired sets by 1679. The regional engineer for church (Mr H. W. Wilkinson) ! the Post Office in Christ-; i said yesterday that while! ; domestic licences had j increased by 33 per cent,! hired sets had gone up 55 peri cent. The total number of licences indicated that every second household in the areas! had a television set. Board Election.—Cr. G. A.
