Savings Bank 10 Years Old
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Jan. IS. The Bank of New South Wales’ savings bank will be 10 years old tomorrow. Commenting on the bank’s tenth anniversary, the general manager, Mr R. W. Norman, said the bank entered the savings bank field in 1955-56 and now had over 1,800,000 active accounts. In New Zealand the savings bank opened on October 1, 1964, and now had deposits of £lO million in 35,000 savings accounts.
