PUBLIC NOTICES WAIMAIRI COUNTY COUNCIL JOINT VEHICLE TESTING STATION LOAN. 1965. IT IS HEREBY PUBLICLY NOT! FIED that the Waimairi County Council at a meeting held in the Council Chambers. Kendal ton, on Thursday. December lb. 1965, passed the following resolution: THAT in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the '‘Counties Act. 1956.’’ the ‘Local Authorities Loans Act, 1956,” and all amendments thereto and al) other Acts (if any) enabling it in that behalf, the Council proceed to raise in New Zealand a loan of £24,006 for the purpose of meeting the Council’s share of the cost of constructing a motor vehicle testing station, subject to the following deter minations: (1) That such loan be known as the Joint Vehicle Testing Station Loan. 1965 (hereinafter referred to as the “said loan”). (2) That the term for which the said loan_or any part thereof may be borrowed shall not exceed twentyfive years. (3) That the rate of Interest that may be paid in respect of the said loan or any part thereof, shall be such as shall not produce to the lender or lenders a rate exceeding five and one quarter (£5 ss) per cent per annum. (4) That the repayment of the loan shall be made by establishing a sink ing fund by annual payments at a rate of not less than two pounds six shillings and five pence per annum. (5) That, the payment of Interest and repayment of principal in respect of the said loan shall be made in New Zealand, and no amount, payable as either interest or sinking fund in respect of the said loan shall be paid out of loan monies. (6) That the rate payable for brokerage in respect of the raising of the said loan or any part thereof shall not exceed one half per cent of any amount raised. (7) That no money shall be borrowed under this sanction after the expiration of three years from the date of approval of the loan given by the Local Authorities Loans Board on December 7. 1965. (8) That the Council doth hereby appropriate and pledge as security for the repayment of the said loan and the charges thereon a Special Rate of .01006 d (pence) in the £ (pound) on the capital value of all rateable properties within the County. Pursuant to the “Local Auth orities Loans Act, 1956,” it is hereby further publicly notified that the foregoing resolution will be submitted to a meeting of the Waimairi County Council to be held in the Council Cham bers, Fendalton, at 7.30 p.m., on Thursday, January 27, 1966, for the confirmation of a Special Order. Further public notice is given that a POLL OF RATEPAYERS is required to be taken if five per cent of the Ratepayers in the County so demand by writ Ing under their hands, delivered or sent by post to the undersigned before the date fixed for the confirmation of the resolu tion hereintofore mentioned. County Office, Fendalton, December 17, 1965. 6975 WAIMAIRI COUNTY COUNCIL MIDDLETON RIDING WORKS LOAN, 1965, OF £11,660 IT is hereby publicly notified that the Waimairi County Council, at a meeting held in the Council Chambers, Fendalton, on Thursday, December 16, 1965, passed the following resolution: “That in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested fn it by the County Act, 1956, the "Local Authorities Loans Act, 1956,” and all amendments thereto and all other acts (if any) enabling it, in that behalf, the Council proceed to raise in New Zealand a loan of £11,600 for the pur pose of reconstructing and sealing Matipo and Princess streets within the Middleton Riding of the County subject to the following determinations:—
(1) That such loan be known as the Middleton Riding Works Loan, 1965 (hereinafter referred to as the said loan). (2) That the term for which the said loan or any part thereof may be borrowed shall not exceed ten years (3) That the rate of interest that may be paid In re spect of the said loan or any part thereof, shall be such as shall not produce to the lender or lenders a rate exceeding five and one-quarter (£5 ss) per cent per annum. (4) That the said loan shall be repaid by annual redemption of stock. ( c ) That the payment of Interest and the repayment of principal in respect of the said loan shall be made in New Zealand and no amount payable as either interest or principal shall be paid out of loan moneys. (6) That the rate payable for brokerage in respect of the raising of the said loan or any part thereof shall not exceed one half per cent of any amount raised. (7) That no money shall be borrowed under this sanction after the expiration of three years from the date of the notification of approval to the loan by the Local Authorities Loans Board. (8) That the Council doth hereby appropriate and pledge as security for the repayment of the said loan and the charges thereon a Special Rate of .063893 d (pence) in the £ (pound) on the capital value of all rateable property in the Middelton Riding. (9) That the form of security for the repayment of prin cipal and interest of the said loan shall be by means of Registered Stock.”
Pursuant to the "Local Authorities Loans Act. 1956,” it is hereby further publicly notified that the foregoing resolution will be submitted to a meeting of the Waimairi County Council to be held in the Council Chambers, Fendalton, at 7 30 p.m. on Thursday, January 27, 1966, for confirmation as a Special Order. Further public notice Is given that a poll of ratepayers is required to be taken if five per cent of the ratepayers in the Middleton Riding so demand by writing, under their hands, delivered or sent by post to the undersigned before the date fixed for the confirmation of the resolution hereinbefore mentioned.
