TIMARU. I Some excellent croquet was I played in the New Zealand i junior croquet championships at Timaru yesterday. In the singles semi-finals' excellent breaks were played I by Miss B. Lewis (Christ-] church) and Mrs H. Bleasdale I (Christchurch) in their: games. The most exciting game i was between Mrs Bleasdale i and Mrs L. Delahunt (Gore).] Each player was left with a ’ solo ball and the peg to make. Mrs Bleasdale hit the peg I
with a 12-yard shot and clinched the game, 26-25. The championshin doubles final was won by D. and K. Miskimmin (Christchurch) who beat H. Dempsey (Waimate) and Mrs H. Devine (Christchurch), 26-12.
