U.S. Troop Cut Ordered

<N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) BERLIN, Jan. 18. The United States Army yesterday began to move out of Berlin a 700-man battalion sent as troop reinforcements after the Communists built the wall on August 13. 1961. The contingent, the Ist Battalion of the 21st Infantry, was ordered to return to its home base in the MunichAugsburg area. The troop cut, ordered on November 23. leaves 6000 American soldiers in Berlin, along with 3000 British troops and 2000 French.
