Photographs At Pentridge
(Special Crspdt. N.Z.P.A.) SYDNEY, Jan. 18. The Victorian Chief Secretary, Mr A. Rylah, has ordered the police to examine the methods of photographing prisoners at Melbourne’s Pentridge Gaol to try to get better likenesses. He said he was “quite concerned” at the inadequacy of the police photographs of Peter Walker and Ronald Ryan, who escaped from the gaol. “They would not have been much help to the public in identifying them.” he said.
