‘CHEQUE CARDS’

(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyright) LONDON, Jan. 18. One of Britain’s largest banks today announced a “cheque card” service for customers. The Midland Bank group would introduce the cards early in March, the bank’s chairman. Sir Archibald Forbes, announced at a press conference in London. The new scheme would guarantee to suppliers of goods and services throughout the British Isles payment of any cheque not exceeding £3O accepted from customers holding “cheque cards.”
