STRIKE BY DOCTORS
New Threat In Belgium ( N.Z.P.A.-Reuter— Copyright) BRUSSELS. Jan. 18. Belgium today faced the threat of a repetition of the doctors’ strike that shocked the country in 1964. The dispute this time is over the doctors’ decision last week to increase their fees unilaterally by 25 per cent. The Government declared last night this violated the agreement reached after the first strike. But to stave off a new national calamity, the Government agreed to consider a 10 per cent increase in fees. The doctors turned down the compromise.
