Surgery By C.C.S.

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Jan. 17. Surgeons of the Aucklandbased Ist Casualty Clearing Station have carried out 19 successful surgical operations during their annual camp at Waiouru. As well as operating on patients awaiting surgical treatment at Waiouru Camp Hospital, the territorials, under the command of LieutenantColonel J. S. Rea, have undertaken emergency operations on soldiers admitted to hospital during their camp training. Previously casualties from Waiouru exercises have been taken to Taihape and Wanganui for hospital treatment.
