BIG SALES EXPECTED

War Book By Montgomery (Special Crspdt. N.Z PA.) LONDON, January 17. A mammoth “History of Warfare," by Viscount Montgomery, is going to be a terrific best seller, says the “Observer.” The firm producing the book is reckoning to have a first printing of 160,000 to 200,000. It is due to be published in the autumn of 1968. Germany, Finland, Norway, Denmark, Italy, Spain, France, Holland, and probably Japan are taking editions in their own languages. But so far there has been no enthusiasm in Sweden. The largest publishers there wrote that they had “grave doubts that the Swedes will ever again wish to read about war.” They said: “The nation has a peace psychosis.”
