1965 TOLL NOW 561
One Natural Death (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Jan. 17. The road toll for 1965 now stands officially at 561—a reduction of one on the original figures. The Transport Department announced today that it had now been determined that Mr K. V. James died as a result of natural causes and not because of an accident in which his car was involved at Palmerston North on Octobco- 16. The official list of road fatalities for last October is reduced by one to 50. The Transport Department said the number of road deaths reported to the department so far this year was 16. Last year at this time 15 had died on the roads.
