Doctor In New Zealand
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Jan. 16. The English author of the humorous “Doctor” books, Dr. Gordon Ostlere, better known as Richard Gordon, arrived in Auckland today to spend a short holiday trout fishing. He has come from Australia where he has been promoting his latest book in the “Doctor” series, “Love and Sir Lancelot.” Dr. Ostlere said that this was the last of his humorous series. He wants to stop writ-
ing books in this vein before the “public gets sick and tired of the idea.” The book, like others in the series, has been filmed under the title, “Doctor in Clover.” Recently, Dr. Ostlere collaborated with his wife, Mary, who is also a doctor, to write a book for new parents called “A Baby In The House.” Dr. Ostlere will spend three days fishing at Taupo, return to Auckland to address a literary lunch on Friday and leave for Sydney the same day.
