New Chinese Everest Bid

China is planning a second attempt to climb Mount Everest, the world’s highest peak, this (northern) autumn, according to Tibetan traders. The traders said the Chinese had completed a road on the east Rongbuk glacier, on the Tibetan side of Mount Everest, to a Might of about 20,000 ft.
