Sparkling Stand By Smith, Titmus
(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) NEWCASTLE, A sparkling 260-run partnership by M. J. K. Smith and F. J. Titmus on Saturday placed the M.C.C. in a strong position against Northern New South Wales at Newcastle.
M.C.C. was dismissed for 449 —115 runs ahead of Northern New South Wales. Smith and Titmus played sparkling cricket and gained their highest scores of the tour. The two were associated for 173 minutes and carried the score from 106 for five to 366 for six. M.C.C. rattled up its 449 runs in 342 minutes.
