FARMER’S DAUGHTER
Swift Filly N.Z.-Bred
Agricola has sired one of the most brilliiamit two-year-old fillies of the season in South Australia. This is Farmer’s Daughter, which was bought for 1800gn.s at the national yeanling sales at Trentham a year ago. The filly was offered on account of Messrs A. C. Williams (Masterton) and D. V. Zillman (Melbourne) and was secured by Light Fingers’s trainer, J. B. Cummings, who was acting for an Adelaide bookmaker, Mr J. O’Connor. Farmer’s Daughter won the Alinura Stakes, seven furlongs, by three lengths at Victoria Park, Adelaide, last week.
“She merely had an exhibition gallop to thrash the'opposition,” wrote V. Lewis in the Adelaide “Sunday Mail.” Geneve 11, the dam of Farmer’s Daughter, is by Relic from the Americanbred Tranquility by Pensive. Relic sired the dams of the high-class horses Relko (Derby) and Match 111.
