Two-Tooth Ewes Sell At £7 4s
(New Zealand Prc.o .As.roeiationl HASTINGS, January 14. There were whistles of surprise at the prices paid for ewes at the Mokopeka station clearing sale at Maraetotara today. Twotooths sold up to £7 4s. four-tooths up to £5 15s and six-tooths to £5 ss.
The station's entire breeding flock of 7200 Octobershorn ewes attracted tremendous interest and the presence of large numbers of buyers from other districts gave further strength to the market.

Four-tooth ewes traded at £5 15s, aged-marked sixtooths at £5 ss, four-year, 86s. five-year 75s 6d; six-yenr. 61s and early-shorn six-year 60s.
The best of the shorn ewe lambs realised 98s and the smaller 61s. Good shorn wether lambs made 58s and others 47s 9d.
i Mixed-aged ewes sold at 170 s and early shorn fat and I forward ewes 445.
