The duties of the post entail supervision of consumer service and gas installations in a gas undertaking serving 16,000 consumers with sales of 550 million cubic feet a year. Applicants should have had at least seven years’ experience in the supervision of installation work, and must have practical experience in the design and installation of industrial gas equipment. The development of industrial gas sales is a particular requirement of this position. The salary offered is £1735 per annum with advancement to £1845 per annum on special re commendation. Graduate in chemistry, who has a sound knowledge of modern instrumental techniques, capable of directing the work of the laboratory, and a micro-biologist who has majored in micro-biology and bio-chemistry, to be directly responsible for the microbiological section of the laboratory. In both cases the company seeks persons who will make a career in the industry and take part in research and development.
