FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT Situation.—A cold front over central New Zealand has become weak and insignificant. An anti-cyclone in the Tasman Sea is advancing on to New Zealand. Forecast: AH districts.—Light to moderate variable winds, southerlies predominating about Cook Strait and north-easterlies on the Canterbury coast; areas of low cloud and drizzle patches this morning, becoming clear or partly cloudy later, with mild day temperatures. Outlook.—Cloud increasing in Buller and Westland; fine elsewhere.
