TO FIGHT IN JAPAN
Flyweight Contenders (N.Z P.A -Reuter—Copyright 1 TOKYO, January 12. H. Accavalla. of Argentina, and H. Ebiharar, of Japan, today signed to fight each other for the world flyweight boxing title in Tokyo on February 1. The secretary-general of the Japan Boxing Commission (Mr K. Kikuchi) said afterwards the fight would decide "once and for all who is the rightful world champion." Japan did not recognise the European Boxing Union's “socalled world flyweight fight between Salvatore Burruni and Walter McGowan in London next month." He said his commission would not agree to the winner meeting the winner of the Tokyo fight to settle the issue. Greek Fights Mexican (N.Z. Press Association* AUCKLAND The Aucklad-based Mexican middle-weight boxer, Roberto Pena, will fight the Greek champion, Dimitrios Mihael. at Wellington on February 23. Negotiations have been completed for the bout, which Will open the Wellington boxing season.
