Profit Down; Div. Steady (N.Z. Press Assn. —Coppripht) SYDNEY, Jan. 13. J. C. Williamson, Ltd., theatrical entrepreneur, suffered a more than 25 per cent profit fall in the year to June 30. The latest profit (which does not include any results from Joan Sutheriand’s recent tour) fell from £72,845 to £s3,B44—equal to slightly more than 7.1 per cent on ordinary capital. However, dividend has been maintained at 10 per cent, absorbing £75,000. More than half of the paid capital of the parent company is held by McKenzies (N.Z.) a chain store group while the Tait family holds about 30 per cent. The profit and loss account of the subsidiary, J. C. Williamson Theatres, Ltd., shows theatre admission and other revenue declined from £1,474,871 to £1,268,637. Costs also eased from £1,480,901 to £1,294,696. Net loss rose from £6030 to £26,059.
