“I Play To Win”
(N.Z. Press Assn—Copyright) LONDON. England's new Rugby captain, D. P. Rogers, said yesterday that he was in favour of playing open footaball, “but winning comes first,” the “Daily Sketch” reported. Rogers will lead the England team against Wales at Twickenham on Saturday, and is a near certainty to tour Australia and New Zealand later this year. Asked how he saw his job as skipper, he said: “I play to win, and especially so in internationals.”
