(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Jan. 11. A Henderson family camping at Mangawhai Heads, 71 miles north of Auckland. lost nearly £3OO worth of belongings and equipment when their tent burnt to the ground at 5.30 p.m. yesterday. Mr and Mrs Gordon Lynch, and their children, Wendy, aged 11, and Grant, aged five, had gone to a neighbouring tent for a few minutes. A kerosene stove was in use at the time. There was plenty of water available in the vicinity, but Mr Lynch said there was no time for any effective attempt at putting out the fire.
