Tickets To Go With Paint
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Jan. 12. A Wellington motorist today received two tickets for painting his car in a metered parking space.
The motorist—who was not identified—parked in Courtenay place this morning and calmly took out a pot of paint and a brush and began work.
A pedestrian notified the Traffic Department and the motorist received two tickets to go with his freshly-painted car. One was for breaking a by-law forbidding the painting of a car on a public street and the other for not paying the meter fee.
