Accidentally Shot

A 14-year-old girl received flesh wounds in her wrist and groin when she was acvide-t--ally shot at her father’s Mt Albert butcher shop this ; afternoon. i Lorraire Susan Hopkins, 'daughter of Mr and Mrs R. K. Hopkins, of 122 Terry [street, Blockhouse Bay, was admitted to Middlemore Hos- ] pital. Her condition tonight was satisfactory. | The incident took place in Mr Hopkins’ butchery 952 New North road, at about 2 p.m.
Police investigating the shooting said a rifle appeared to have been accidentally discharged by the injured girl's 16-year-old brother.
