Fiji’s Drought Relieved
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright > SUVA, January 12. Fiji’s record drought has been partly relieved by scattered rainfall. Water restrictions have been lifted in the western and northern areas, but remain in force for Suva and Levuka. Essential food crops were wiped out in many regions, but no assessment of loss to the sugar industry is available.
